Bangkok Day 3: Pratunam Market, Chocolate Ville

The third day in Thailand, I finally officially started my Bangkok trip. We woke up pretty early and departed to Pratunam Market that is known for its early opening. But before that, we went to the famous chicken rice shop to have our breakfast. The restaurant name is KuangHeng and it's nearby Platinum Mall. You can easily recognise the restaurant by their green uniforms. It's known for opening 24 hours other than its chicken rice. I wouldn't say it tastes great but it was a decent chicken rice. Its competitor wears pink uniform and I believe it taste alright too. So just choose either one to dine in should be fine. By the way, if you travel in groups, taxi is a better option because the fee shared is cheaper than BTS and MRT.

After we had our breakfast, we walked to Pratunam Market. It's a wholesale market meaning you need to buy at least 3pcs of clothing to get wholesale price. Some stalls let you to mix the designs but some stalls only allowed to buy the same design. It was crowded and be alert to give way to the trolleys. Some vendors just ignore you if you only want to buy one piece which is quite a turn off for me. The choice selection was not that attractive but if you looked carefully there are some hidden gems in this market and I have bought a few pieces from there.

How to get there: BTS to E1 Chit Lom, Exit 3, walk 250 m straight ahead to intersection of Ratchaprasong Rd. Cross pedestrian bridge to right and walk Straight ahead 450 m. to Petchburi Rd. intersection. Cross Petchburi to Pratunam Market. Alternatively, walk toward Baiyoke Sky Hotel and you will see the market.


After that, we went back to hostel to take a nap and the van driver then fetched us to Chocolate Ville. The whole van costs 1400 Baht for the trip to Chocolate Ville. It was my second time visited there and I didn't take as many pictures as last time. The food there are just amazing as always and got me craving for more. Let just get to the pictures, shall we?

Day 2 in Thailand, we visited Hua Hin. For more details of our van driver, I will leave the information at the end of this post. We departed at 8 a.m. and the first stop was Santorini Park. Bangkok Day 6: Sabx2 Wanton Noodles, On Nut Pickadaily, Big C Supermarket, JJ Green Market

Day 6 in Bangkok, we went to eat the famous wanton noodles - Sabx2 Wanton Noodles as our lunch. The queue was really long when we reached there but luckily we didn't wait for long till our turn. I guessed I had high hope since everyone was raving about this but I didn't know what the fuss was about. I mean it did taste really good but the portion was so small and the price was not cheap if compared to other local food. If the portion becomes bigger, I might come back for it on my next visit in Bangkok. We also ordered the pork rice and it was much more fulfilling than the noodles. I can only recommend this place if you're wanting to try it but don't expect it to be a decent, well-portioned meal.

Day 2: Hua Hin Part 3 (Hua Hin Beach + Chatsila & Chatchai Hua Hin Night Market)

Followed by my Part 1 and Part 2 of my Hua Hin trip, here comes Part 3 where I visited Hua Hin Beach and Hua Hin Night Market. After we visited Plearnwan, our next stop was Hua Hin Beach. I always love the sea breeze and it always calms me. Our driver parked the van near the beach as he stated that the parking area at the beach is always full and reserved. So, we did quite a bit of walking and along the way there were a lot of bars. Unfortunately, I wasn't staying in Hua Hin. If not, I could chill in one of the bars. If you have some time to spare, I would recommend you to relax there. After some walking, we finally reached the beach. We were welcomed by the locals that offer us horse riding for a fee. We've rejected them and luckily they weren't too pushy. The sand is very soft but be careful as the shells or glass will cut your feet. We spent some time there just relaxing, feel the breeze and take some pictures. Horse riding service
