Day 2: Hua Hin Part 2 (Hua Hin Sam Phan Nam Floating Market + PlearnWan)

Hey guys, if you missed out my previous post on Santorini Park and Swiss Sheep Farm, you can click here. My Hua Hin trip was followed by a visit to Hua Hin Sam Phan Nam Floating Market. It is different from Damnoen Saduak Floating Market and it was not culturally rich than the latter.

Nonetheless, it was still worth a visit. Initially, I wasn't planning to visit the floating market but to visit Venezia. I thought it was free admission but the entrance ticket costs 1000 Baht and some bloggers didn't think it was worth a visit. My van driver then suggested us to go to the floating market and we all agreed.

I'm relieved that we went there because I could take a break from the scorching hot sun. I really like the peacefulness there and it was not crowded which is a plus point. There are shops and food stalls there that you could stroll around. All in all, I think it's a market that one should stop by if you have the time.

Next stop was PlearnWan Eco Vintage Village. The village was designed like the early times of Hua Hin and it was built with wooden planks. I may not know the old Hua Hin but I'm liking it. Some people might think there's not much at this place but there's a charm in this village that get me attracted. This place definitely deserves a slow walk and just appreciate the beauty of it. If you like yourself some good ol' Hua Hin, you should check out this place.

Followed by my Part 1 and Part 2 of my Hua Hin trip, here comes Part 3 where I visited Hua Hin Beach and Hua Hin Night Market. After we visited Plearnwan, our next stop was Hua Hin Beach. I always love the sea breeze and it always calms me. Our driver parked the van near the beach as he stated that the parking area at the beach is always full and reserved. So, we did quite a bit of walking and along the way there were a lot of bars. Unfortunately, I wasn't staying in Hua Hin. If not, I could chill in one of the bars. If you have some time to spare, I would recommend you to relax there. After some walking, we finally reached the beach. We were welcomed by the locals that offer us horse riding for a fee. We've rejected them and luckily they weren't too pushy. The sand is very soft but be careful as the shells or glass will cut your feet. Bangkok Day 6: Sabx2 Wanton Noodles, On Nut Pickadaily, Big C Supermarket, JJ Green Market

Day 6 in Bangkok, we went to eat the famous wanton noodles - Sabx2 Wanton Noodles as our lunch. The queue was really long when we reached there but luckily we didn't wait for long till our turn. I guessed I had high hope since everyone was raving about this but I didn't know what the fuss was about. I mean it did taste really good but the portion was so small and the price was not cheap if compared to other local food. If the portion becomes bigger, I might come back for it on my next visit in Bangkok. We also ordered the pork rice and it was much more fulfilling than the noodles. I can only recommend this place if you're wanting to try it but don't expect it to be a decent, well-portioned meal.

Bangkok Day 5: Chatuchak Weekend Market, Victory Monument, Platinum Fashion Mall, Erawan Shrine, Central World

Day 5 in Bangkok was kinda a shopping day. We went to the famous Chatuchak Weekend Market. The market not only sells fashion stuffs but also pet products, home decors, plants and many more. It's definitely a must visit during your stay in Bangkok. The market only opens on the weekend so make sure you planned out your itinerary beforehand. We found a place like food court and we had our breakfast there. The food was cheap and quite nice. We needed the energy to walk around the market because the market is very large and the weather was hot. Duck Noodles Fried Rice
