Bangkok Day 7: Terminal 21

Image
Finally, it's time for me to update my last day in Bangkok. I was quite drained out from my previous days in Bangkok so I was just relaxing in the hostel the whole morning. After recharging myself, I went to Terminal 21 which is just nearby my hostel. Terminal 21 was designed based on airport concept and each floor represents different countries. The fun part is, the interior of the toilets were also designed in the same way. People probably thought I was crazy cause I took every picture of the toilets at each floor. Without further ado, let's get to the pictures, shall we?

Bangkok Day 6: Sabx2 Wanton Noodles, On Nut Pickadaily, Big C Supermarket, JJ Green Market

Image
Day 6 in Bangkok, we went to eat the famous wanton noodles - Sabx2 Wanton Noodles as our lunch. The queue was really long when we reached there but luckily we didn't wait for long till our turn. I guessed I had high hope since everyone was raving about this but I didn't know what the fuss was about. I mean it did taste really good but the portion was so small and the price was not cheap if compared to other local food. If the portion becomes bigger, I might come back for it on my next visit in Bangkok. We also ordered the pork rice and it was much more fulfilling than the noodles. I can only recommend this place if you're wanting to try it but don't expect it to be a decent, well-portioned meal.

Bangkok Day 5: Chatuchak Weekend Market, Victory Monument, Platinum Fashion Mall, Erawan Shrine, Central World

Day 5 in Bangkok was kinda a shopping day. We went to the famous Chatuchak Weekend Market. The market not only sells fashion stuffs but also pet products, home decors, plants and many more. It's definitely a must visit during your stay in Bangkok. The market only opens on the weekend so make sure you planned out your itinerary beforehand. We found a place like food court and we had our breakfast there. The food was cheap and quite nice. We needed the energy to walk around the market because the market is very large and the weather was hot. Duck Noodles Fried Rice

Bangkok Day 4: Wat Pho, Yodpiman River Walk, Chinatown, Asiatique

Fourth day in Bangkok, my destinations are all reachable by boat. I rode the orange flag boat and each trip costs 15 Baht. First stop was Wat Pho - The Temple of Reclining Buddha. I missed out temple trip during my last visit in Bangkok so this time I was determined to visit both Wat Pho and Wat Arun. You are reminded to wear long pants and shirts with sleeves when visiting the temples, if not you will need to wear some kind of robe to cover your body. After I entered Wat Pho, I can see the massive Buddha laying there and it was spectacular. Unfortunately, the feet was under maintenance so I couldn't take a full shot of the Buddha. The temple was actually bigger than I was expected and I used more than an hour to walk around. If you want to experience the local culture and enjoy peaceful atmosphere, temple is a must in your itinerary. Signage that indicates each stop and attractions. The view along the way

Bangkok Day 3: Pratunam Market, Chocolate Ville

Image
The third day in Thailand, I finally officially started my Bangkok trip. We woke up pretty early and departed to Pratunam Market that is known for its early opening. But before that, we went to the famous chicken rice shop to have our breakfast. The restaurant name is KuangHeng and it's nearby Platinum Mall. You can easily recognise the restaurant by their green uniforms. It's known for opening 24 hours other than its chicken rice. I wouldn't say it tastes great but it was a decent chicken rice. Its competitor wears pink uniform and I believe it taste alright too. So just choose either one to dine in should be fine. By the way, if you travel in groups, taxi is a better option because the fee shared is cheaper than BTS and MRT. Not the best but the rice is really good The satay is good

Day 2: Hua Hin Part 3 (Hua Hin Beach + Chatsila & Chatchai Hua Hin Night Market)

Image
Followed by my Part 1 and Part 2 of my Hua Hin trip, here comes Part 3 where I visited Hua Hin Beach and Hua Hin Night Market. After we visited Plearnwan, our next stop was Hua Hin Beach. I always love the sea breeze and it always calms me. Our driver parked the van near the beach as he stated that the parking area at the beach is always full and reserved. So, we did quite a bit of walking and along the way there were a lot of bars. Unfortunately, I wasn't staying in Hua Hin. If not, I could chill in one of the bars. If you have some time to spare, I would recommend you to relax there. After some walking, we finally reached the beach. We were welcomed by the locals that offer us horse riding for a fee. We've rejected them and luckily they weren't too pushy. The sand is very soft but be careful as the shells or glass will cut your feet. We spent some time there just relaxing, feel the breeze and take some pictures. Horse riding service

Day 2: Hua Hin Part 2 (Hua Hin Sam Phan Nam Floating Market + PlearnWan)

Hey guys, if you missed out my previous post on Santorini Park and Swiss Sheep Farm, you can click here . My Hua Hin trip was followed by a visit to Hua Hin Sam Phan Nam Floating Market. It is different from Damnoen Saduak Floating Market and it was not culturally rich than the latter. Nonetheless, it was still worth a visit. Initially, I wasn't planning to visit the floating market but to visit Venezia. I thought it was free admission but the entrance ticket costs 1000 Baht and some bloggers didn't think it was worth a visit. My van driver then suggested us to go to the floating market and we all agreed. I'm relieved that we went there because I could take a break from the scorching hot sun. I really like the peacefulness there and it was not crowded which is a plus point. There are shops and food stalls there that you could stroll around. All in all, I think it's a market that one should stop by if you have the time. The entrance You need to pay for the b

Day 2: Hua Hin Part 1 (Santorini Park + Swiss Sheep Farm)

Day 2 in Thailand, we visited Hua Hin. For more details of our van driver, I will leave the information at the end of this post. We departed at 8 a.m. and the first stop was Santorini Park. The building is beautiful and the rides are just like in fairy tale. This place is definitely for those who like to take pictures and it's a must visit in Hua Hin.  There are shops and restaurants inside but my main purpose is to take pictures so shopping is not my to-do in Santorini Park.

Bangkok Day 1 (De Talak Hostel + B-Story Cafe)

Image
I've visited Bangkok and less than a year I revisited this beautiful country again with my friends as a graduation trip. Initially, my arrival time was around 4pm Bangkok time but AirAsia cancelled my flight and was delayed to 6pm which is quite a bummer. So my day 1 was kinda wasted and around 9pm we checked in our hostel, De Talak Hostel. We opted public transportation to go there from Don Mueang Airport. First, we took Bus A1 to reach Chatuchak Park MRT station and we rode MRT to Queen Sirikit NCC station Exit 1. With just 5 minutes walking distance, we've reached the hostel. I really love this hostel. The facilities provided are amazing and the staffs were friendly. Plus, they provide free coconut ice-cream!! Though it taste like vanilla ice-cream. But, who cares, free is free right?! So, for those who prefer a budget trip, this hostel is for you.
